What a Sample Weekly Preschool and Daycare Menu Looks Like

When evaluating a meal provider, "we serve healthy food" isn't a useful data point on its own — what you actually want is a sample menu. Here's what a well-structured weekly menu should include, and where to see ours.

Three Meals a Day, Every Day of the Week

A complete weekly menu covers breakfast, lunch, and snack for each weekday, not just lunch. Each meal should be distinct enough across the week that kids aren't eating the same three dishes on repeat.

    Dietary Labeling on Every Item

Each dish should be clearly labeled for relevant dietary categories — vegetarian, vegan, nut-free, gluten-free — at the item level, not just as a general disclaimer somewhere on the menu. That's what lets a program quickly confirm a specific meal works for a specific child's needs.

    Menus Rotate Seasonally

A good weekly menu isn't fixed forever — it should rotate with ingredient availability and the season. That means the specific sample menu you see today may look somewhat different a few months from now, even if the overall structure (three meals, labeled options, age-appropriate portions) stays consistent.

Rather than reproducing a menu here that would quickly go stale, see our current sample weekly menu for an up-to-date look at real dishes across breakfast, lunch, and snack — including dietary badges for each item.
